Slide Presentations

This semester, you, or you and a partner, will be responsible for a slide presentation based upon a music-related topic.

Presentations must:

• Run at least 10 minutes—you may utilize any presentation program you like (e.g. PowerPoint, Slides, Canva).
• Be 10-12 slides in length, excluding cover slide and works cited. Introduction and conclusion slides are mandatory—presentations without an introduction and/or conclusion cannot receive full points.
• Contain at least one multimedia clip—no longer than 2 minutes in length.
• Include an MLA Style works cited slide (not to be presented), as well as an AI Disclosure Statememt.
• Be submitted to Canvas no later than the day of your presentation.

Important: 

• To present on Zoom, you will be made a co-host. Be sure to select "Share Sound" before sharing your screen.
• Do not read your presentation. Instead, you should know your material enough so that you can sufficiently "riff" on your subject.
• You must present with your camera on. And no presentations from phones—computer presentations only, please.

Very Important:

While you may utilize AI tools to create your presentation's visual aesthetics (e.g., slide backgrounds, color palettes, or layouts), all intellectual content (written and spoken narrative) must be your own. Presentations using AI-generated subject matter will result in an automatic F on the assignment, with the potential for further disciplinary action.
